The public consultation on the proposed operating framework of WWF’s Office of the Ombudsperson has been extended from 16 December 2022 until 31 January 2023.
The first of its kind in the conservation sector, the Office has been created to help WWF strengthen its programmatic work by creating a new channel for communities to have a say in projects which may affect them.
The Office opened its proposed operating framework for consultation on 18 November 2022. Since then it has been engaging with stakeholders in and outside of the organisation to gather feedback. The consultation has been extended to enable stakeholders to engage with the survey and participate in the consultation process beyond the upcoming holiday period.
We encourage you to read the proposed framework and submit your feedback via this web page.
The proposed operating framework confirms WWF’s commitment to firmly and proactively anchor and integrate human rights into conservation practices. The goal of the consultation is to establish possible challenges communities and WWF offices might face in implementing the operating framework. The survey is open to anyone interested in contributing their perspective. If you have any questions, get in touch with the Office here.
